World Cup: How much money Bundesliga teams make from FIFA's compensation payments?Deutsche Kreditbank (DKB) revealed the specific details of FIFA’s compensation payment ahead of the final between Spain and Argentina on Sunday. According to the report, FC Bayern will benefit the most from the Bundesliga clubs.
Based on DKB’s analysis, the Rekordmeister will receive around €2.3 million, which is only bettered by Manchester City (€3.08M), PSG (€2.
49M) and Arsenal (€2.42M). A total of 17 Bayern players participated in the tournaments, including England’s captain Harry Kane and France’s Michael Olise and Dayot Upamecano.
Four other Bundesliga clubs surpassed the million threshold, according to the report. Borussia Dortmund will receive around €1.54 million, while Bayer Leverkusen (€1.
42M), Eintracht Frankfurt (€1.17M) and TSG Hoffenheim (€1.05M) are also on this list.
In total, only the Premier League received a higher compensation payment than Bundesliga from European leagues. From 1,248 players, 110 (8.81%) of them are currently plying their trade in Germany’s top-flight league.
The amount of FIFA payments depends on the number of days the players are active at the World Cup. As a result, Bundesliga clubs missed out on additional payments because of Germany’s exit in the first knockout stage round.
