Who does Georgia baseball play next in the College World Series?

The Georgia Bulldogs earned a 7-1 win over the Texas Longhorns to start the College World Series. No. 3 Georgia's next opponent is the Oklahoma Sooners.

Georgia plays against Oklahoma at 7 p.m. ET on Monday, June 15.

The Georgia-Oklahoma game will be televised on ESPN from Charles Schwab field in Omaha, Nebraska.Oklahoma won their opening College World Series game, 9-0, against against No. 7 Alabama.

The Sooners did not play Georgia during the SEC regular season or the SEC Tournament. Georgia won both the SEC regular season and the SEC Tournament. Oklahoma (39-22, 14-16 SEC) advanced out of the Atlanta Regional and the the Lawrence Super Regional against No.

2 Georgia Tech and No. 15 Kansas respectively. The Sooners are more than capable of pulling off a stunning upset against Georgia or any college baseball powerhouse.

Oklahoma has gotten hot at the right time and has won six straight games. Oklahoma faces a major challenge against Georgia (52-12, 23-7 SEC), who leads the country in home runs by a significant margin. The Bulldogs have won nine straight games and 20 of their last 21 contests.

The winner of the Georgia-Oklahoma game will take command of their half of the bracket while the loser will face an elimination game next."We got on the board early with Rylan's (Lujo) home run and then they had a couple miscues in the first and you combine that with the way Joey (Volchko) was throwing tonight, and everybody could relax a bit," Georgia manager Wes Johnson said after the Texas game. "Then, Rylan gets another big hit and Kenny (Ishikawa) comes up with one and that really stretched it out.
