When Might Toronto Blue Jays Have Addison Barger Back in Lineup?
The breakout star from 2025 has missed most of the season with various injuries.
Speaking before Friday night's series-opening game in Seattle, Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider provided an update on multiple players, including slugging outfielder Addison Barger.As relayed by Hazel Mae of Sportsnet, Barger is still rehabbing his throwing elbow until the All-Star break. Therefore, his timeline remains up in the air.
George Springer is on paternity leave and Max Scherzer felt good after throwing three innings in a rehab start for High-A Vancouver. We covered Scherzer's future, which is also up in the air, here. He's been on the injured list multiple times with forearm and back issues.

He's missed significant time with bilateral ankle discomfort and is on the injured list now with that elbow inflammation. A breakout star of last year's playoff run, Barger hit 21 homers and drove in 74 runs. He hit .
367 in the playoffs with three homers, nine RBIs and a .441 on-base percentage. The Blue Jays beat these same Mariners in seven games in the American League Championship Series.
