Vikings QB competition is a cloud hanging over the NFC North
The Vikings quarterback battle is looming over the NFC North until they name a winner.
The Minnesota Vikings quarterback competition is heating up, and no one is backing down on social media from defending who they think should win the job. Through it all, the coaching staff has remained steadfast in their execution of this quarterback competition and has provided little insight to the quarterback room until recently. While the Vikings decide between either J.
J. McCarthy or Kyler Murray, the competition is hanging over the entire NFC North, according to Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox. While discussing the biggest rumors hanging over the NFC North, he hinted that Murray being the early leader is going to stick with all the other teams as they look to sort things out in the division.
Knox writes, "The Vikings are in the middle of a quarterback competition involving 2024 first-round pick J.J. McCarthy and offseason addition Kyler Murray.
All signs point to the competition lasting well into training camp. .The gap may get closer in camp, but Murray should be considered the favorite to win the QB1 gig going into it.
If he does and can return to Pro Bowl form, Minnesota will be right back in the thick of the NFC North race."Whoever they choose, the winner of the competition will have to impress help lift the Vikings in what has become the toughest division in the NFL. Every team has a legitimate argument to win, with the Vikings looking the part everywhere but the right quarterback puts this team over the top.
