UNC basketball to face off against Indiana in exhibition
The UNC basketball program will meet Indiana in an exhibition game this preseason.
The first year of the Michael Malone era is officially here. After the team made the decision to go in a new direction, Malone was hired to be the next guy in charge.So far, Malone and his staff have worked hard on the recruiting trail in preparation for the upcoming season as well as the future of the program.
Malone and the Tar Heels will also face a tough non-conference schedule for 2026-27, being tested early in the head coaches' tenure. While dates and times for the full schedule have not been announced, on Monday, a piece to the preseason was officially revealed. North Carolina and Indiana announced that they will be playing a preseason exhibition game this Fall.
The two teams will meet on October 18th at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Preseason matchup with the Hoosiers 🗓️ pic.twitter.

It should be a good test for them ahead of the year. Last season, UNC went to Utah to face off against BYU at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City in the preseason.
