UCLA basketball offers four-star 2027 guard Micah Gordon
UCLA hasn't landed a 2027 recruit yet but the Bruins offered four-star guard Micah Gordon on Saturday.
It’s been a quiet offseason for UCLA Bruins men’s basketball recruiting. Mick Cronin and the Bruins brought in two freshmen for the upcoming 2026-2027 season, but have yet to earn any commitments for their 2027 class. On Saturday, 2027 guard Micah Gordon announced on Twitter that he had received an offer from UCLA.
Gordon is the No. 12 point guard in the class according to 247 Sports and is a four-star recruit.Blessed to receive an offer from UCLA pic.
twitter.com/e6TrdRpahF— Micah Gordon (@MicahGg1) June 13, 2026Gordon is from Plainfield, New Jersey and stands at just 5’10” but he’s already received offers from Auburn, Georgetown and Maryland. The guard attends Plainfield High School, helping lead the Cardinals to a 27-4 record as a junior.
If UCLA were to be able to land Gordon, it’d give the Bruins a Top-50 recruit to begin their class. UCLA has a few young guards on their roster already with Trent Perry, Eric Freeny and Jaylen Petty but Gordon would be a welcome addition to a Bruin team that has underperformed since joining the Big Ten Conference.Since leaving the Pac-12, UCLA hasn’t competed atop the Big Ten and have been bounced in the second round of the NCAA tournament in each of the past two seasons.
It won’t be easy for the Bruins to land Gordon over other East Coast schools but it’d be a big get for Cronin. UCLA hasn’t had a Top-30 recruiting class since 2023, where the Bruins added seven recruits including Aday Mara, Sebastian Mack and Brandon Williams. This article originally appeared on UCLA Wire: UCLA Bruins gives four-star 2027 guard Micah Gordon an offer
