Legora, the Stockholm-based legal AI unicorn, has announced the acquisition of London-based Wexler, a fact intelligence platform that extracts, verifies, and reasons over the factual record from large and unstructured document sets. Wexler’s engineering team will make up the founding team of Legora’s London engineering hub. The company has been on an acquisition spree, with Wexler being Legora’s fifth acquisition in 2026.
Other acquisitions include New York-based Cadastral, an AI agent platform built specifically for commercial real estate, and Stockholm-based Qura, an AI-native legal research startup. “Every dispute and every investigation comes down to the facts, and finding them is often the most manual and expensive part of legal work. Founded in 2023 by CEO Max Junestrand and CTO Sigge Labor, Legora is the agentic operating system for legal work, supporting lawyers in research, review, and drafting across complex matters. The company claims to be building the world’s first truly collaborative AI for lawyers.
In April 2026, Legora announced a €42 million ($50 million) extension of its previously announced Series D financing, bringing the total round to €513 million ($600 million) in equity and valuing the company at €4.7 billion ($5.6 billion) post-money.
The company also surpassed €87.4 million ($100 million) in annual recurring revenue. The company’s platform is used by more than 100,000 lawyers at 1,500 leading law firms and in-house legal teams across over 50 markets.
Founded in January 2023 by Gregory Mostyn and Kush Madlani, Wexler helps legal, compliance, eDiscovery, tax and forensics teams analyse the facts in every case. The company says its engine runs documents through a gated pipeline that isolates discrete, verifiable eve
