Sparks Part Ways With GM Raegan Pebley

The Los Angeles Sparks announced the franchise agreed to part ways with general manager Raegan Pebley on Sunday. Pebley was hired as the Sparks’ GM in January 2024. “We are grateful to Raegan for her leadership and commitment to the Los Angeles Sparks and women’s basketball,” said Managing Partner and Governor Eric Holoman, per the Sparks’ press release.

“Her work on the Sparks roster and player experience will have a lasting positive impact on our organization. The Sparks hired Pebley despite her little experience working in a front office. She had a lot of collegiate coaching experience, serving as head coach for Utah State, Fresno State and TCU. During her stint with Fresno State, the Bulldogs went 46-20 and made two appearances in the NCAA Tournament.

Pebley started her coaching career as an assistant coach at George Mason in 1997 then took on an assistant coaching role at Colorado State in 1999.Prior to her career at the Sparks’ GM, Pebley played 30 career games in the WNBA. After her collegiate career with Colorado, she was drafted in third round of the 1997 WNBA Draft by the Utah Starzz then played with the Cleveland Rockers in 1998.
