Rep Gill challenges 'genuinely insane and objectively offensive' Democratic socialists after viral hearing
The Texas Republican says Democratic socialists are now the mainstream of the party, arguing anti-capitalism and police bashing are normalized.

Rep. Brandon Gill, R-Texas, urged Republicans to force far-left Democrats to defend their own ideas during a Tuesday appearance on "Hannity," arguing that many of their positions are impossible to justify when subjected to scrutiny."We have gone so long letting the left say the most crazy, outlandish things," Gill said."

I think your average rank-and-file Democrat in the House right now recognizes that the Democratic socialists are no longer the fringe in their party. That is the mainstream. That's where their base is, and they're not going to speak out against that, because they don't want the backlash from their base," he said.
