Rays Farm System Loaded With Power as Xavier Isaac Earns National Recognition

The Tampa Bay Rays have some sluggers inside their farm system. Some who will surely make an impact at the Major League level in a few years. When evaluating talent, of course, one of the most impressive traits for hitters is their power.
Earlier this week, Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter attempted to do just that as he released his list of 15 MLB Prospects with future 30-Homer potential. One Rays prospect (and one honorable mention) made the list. Reuter chose Rays first baseman Xavier Issac as a player with the power potential.
In his piece, he said:"Xavier Isaac has long had some of the best raw power in the minors, dating back to Tampa Bay's surprising decision to take him No. 29 overall in the 2022 draft, almost exclusively on the strength of that plus tool. He backed it up immediately, hitting .
285/.395/.521 with 19 home runs in 102 games in 2023.
Elbow and wrist injuries limited him to 41 games last season, and he batted just .201 with a strikeout rate near 30 percent when healthy. His prospect stock took a hit as a result, but he is back at the Double-A level this year and once again looking like a potential future masher."
So far this season, He has a .848 OPS and has recorded 12 homers with Double-A Montgomery. If he can find himself moving up to Triple-A Durham in the second half of the season, he could be a prime candidate to battle for a roster spot with the Rays next spring.
