Predicting Team India's playing XI for 3rd ENG vs IND 2026 T20I ft. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Axar Patel

× Team India will take on England at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Tuesday, July 7 in the third T20I of the five-match series. The Men in Blue are trailing 0-1 in the series. The opening game of the series in Chester-le-Street produced no result due to rain, while England won the second match at Old Trafford in Manchester by four wickets.

Ad Batting first after winning the toss in Manchester, Team India put up 190-7 on the board. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was dismissed for 14 off 10 on his international debut. Ishan Kishan top-scored with 49 off 40 balls, while Abhishek Sharma smashed 43 off 24.

Skipper Shreyas Iyer also chipped in with 37 off 22, while Tilak Varma (24* off 11) contributed a nice cameo. With the ball, left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh got India off to a great start, dismissing Phil Salt and Jos Buttler for ducks in the first over. However, Jacob Bethell (76* off 36) played a fantastic innings under pressure to guide England home.

Skipper Harry Brook (39 off 15) and Tom Banton (39 off 32) also made handy contributions. Ad Trending Team India will look to fightback and square the series 1-1 in Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Tuesday. On that note, let's take a look at India's predicted playing XI for the third T20I.

Top order: Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Ishan Kishan (wk) Abhishek and Sooryavanshi opened the innings for India in Manchester, with Sanju Samson being left out of the playing XI. The Men in Blue are likely to continue with the same combination in Nottingham. Abhishek has been in impressive form and has smacked 102 runs in two innings at a strike rate of 212.

50. Sooryavanshi would hope for a big knock on Tuesday. Ad Kishan was Team India's top-scorer in the second T20I against England as he narrowly missed out on a half-century.

However, his 49-run knock came off 40 balls at a somewhat underwhelming strike rate of 122.50. The southpaw got stuck in the middle overs and towards the end as well.

This is an area of his game Kishan will have to work on. Middle order and all-rounders: Shreyas Iyer (c), Tilak Varma (vc), Shivam Dube and Axar Patel Team India skipper Shreyas is currently the leading run-getter in the T20I series in England. In two innings, he has scored 105 runs at a strike rate of 152.

17. The right-handed batter scored a defiant 68 off 47 in the first T20I, hitting six fours and a six. He followed it up with 37 off 22 in Manchester.

Shreyas would look to play a big knock if he gets his eye in the third T20I. Ad Vice-captain Tilak played a handy cameo against England in the Manchester T20I. He struck one four and a couple of sixes to give India a much-needed final flourish with the bat.

He struggled in the first T20I and was dismissed for a run-a-ball 13. Tilak will be keen to come up with an impactful effort in Nottingham. The big-hitting Shivam Dube smashed a whirlwind 42* off 21 balls in the first T20I in Chester-le-Street.

The southpaw's knock featured two fours and three sixes. Dube was dismissed for five off seven balls in Manchester as Team India lost their way in the second half of the innings. Ad All-rounder Axar Patel was run out for two off three in the second T20I in Manchester.

He was Team India's best bowler on show in the contest, registering economical figures of 1-20 from four overs. Axar got the massive wicket of Harry Brook, having him caught behind for 39 off 15 balls. Bowlers: Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Prince Yadav and Varun Chakaravarthy Pacer Harshit Rana proved expensive in the second T20I in Manchester, registering figures of 1-30 from three overs.

He got the wicket of Sam Curran, but it was a case of too little too late. Ad Left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh got two big wickets of Salt and Buttler in the first over in Manchester. He also added the key scalp of Banton to give India hope.

However, Arshdeep ended with expensive analysis, giving away 40 runs in his four overs - one of his overs went for 27 runs. Fast bowler Prince Yadav could replace leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi in the Indian playing XI for the third T20I in Nottingham. Bishnoi went for 60 runs in his four overs in Manchester and looked out of sorts.

Prince registered impressive figures of 3-22 on debut against Ireland in Belfast.Leg-spinner Varun Chakaravarthy registered figures of 1-37 from his four overs in the previous match. He got the huge wicket of Will Jacks, but would be looking forward to playing a much bigger role with the ball on Tuesday.
