20240225, The Pittsburgh Pirates face the Baltimore Orioles at LECOM Park, Bradenton, Florida (Photos by Harrison Barden)The Pirates promoted infielder Jack Brannigan to Triple-A Indianapolis on the last day of June, and the 25-year-old is off to a solid start with the organization’s top minor league affiliate.Brannigan, who was briefly up with the Pirates last month but did not appear in a game, has reached base safely in all six games since his promotion with two home runs and seven RBIs. One of those two home runs was a grand slam (one of two in the same game for the Indians) in their 17-4 win over Omaha on the Fourth of July.
In six games since he was bumped up to Indianapolis, Brannigan has a .263/.423/.
579 batting line with more walks (six) than strikeouts (three). In 33 games with Double-A Altoona prior to his promotion, Brannigan slashed .226/.
