Panthers free agent receives big news ahead of training camp

The comeback continues for a Carolina Panthers free agent.According to Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer, offensive lineman Brady Christensen has been cleared for contact in his recovery from an Achilles tear. The 29-year-old, who has spent each of his five NFL seasons with the Panthers, remains on the open market ahead of training camp.

“I’m always looking for the best opportunity, not only for me, but for my family as well,” Christensen said, per Kaye. “In the NFL, especially on the O-Line, you don’t have a long career, so you’re always looking for that best opportunity. The next opportunity to get back on the field, have good games, have good film, so you can keep going from there.”

The former third-round pick also confirmed that he's remained in touch with the Panthers throughout the recovery process.Over his five years in Carolina, Christensen lined up at every position along the offensive line. All 285 of his offensive snaps from this past season came at right guard.
