Palaniswami objects to amended version of resolution against Mekedatu

Joseph Vijay had moved an amendment to the resolution incorporating the Opposition Leader’s suggestion to urge the Centre to constitute a new tribunal on the issue.

Before the motion was amended, it should have been formally proposed and seconded before being put to a vote, Mr. Palaniswami said. However, in this instance, the prescribed procedures were not followed.
