Orange Cassidy officially announced for huge appearance outside AEW

× One of AEW's top stars and champions, Orange Cassidy, is set for a major appearance outside the Tony Khan-led promotion. The reigning All Elite Wrestling World Trios Champion has not been in the ring since Forbidden Door last month. Ad "The King of Sloth Style" has been signed with All Elite Wrestling since the year of the promotion's foundation.

Over the past six years, he has emerged as one of the Jacksonville-based company's biggest and most beloved stars. His first reign with the AEW International Championship, which lasted for 326 days, established him as a workhorse performer. Beyond the squared circle, Orange has developed an undeniable connection with audiences through his character work as an apparent slacker who can change gears competitively in the blink of an eye.

Ad Trending Cassidy was last seen in action at AEW Forbidden Door 2026, where he teamed with his Conglomeration teammates Mark Briscoe, Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly, as well as with Konosuke Takeshita and Darby Allin, to defeat MJF and the Don Callis Family in a Steel Cage match. Although he has not returned to in-ring action yet, it was announced recently on X/Twitter that OC is set to make his return to Beyond Wrestling on its upcoming July 17 show, Beyond Wrestling "Does A Secret Show Or Something Or Whatever". Ad AEW star Orange Cassidy's gimmick originated from Beyond Wrestling While appearing on an interview with Monopoly Events this past March, Orange Cassidy revealed the origins of a huge element of his iconic character and presentation- him stuffing his hands in his jeans pockets, mid-match, as a taunt to his opponents. According to the "Freshly Squeezed" star, he came up with the bit while wrestling Marko Stunt at Beyond Wrestling years ago, as a response to Mr. Fun Size playing head games with him by dancing around him.

Ad “Why did I put my hands in my pockets? I was wrestling Marko Stunt in a promotion called Beyond Wrestling in the Northeast of America. He was being a little cocky punk and kept dancing around me.

So I put my hands in my pockets and said, ‘Go ahead, hit me.’ And I’ve been doing it ever since for the past six years," OC said. Ad Fans are eager to see what will be next for Orange Cassidy on AEW programming.
