Mophie announces three new premium 25W MagSafe chargers for iPhone: hands-on

Skip to main content Mophie’s been a mainstay in the charging tech industry, and today, they have an all new lineup of premium 25W MagSafe charging products for Apple users – available from Mophie.com and Apple Retail. While most 25W MagSafe chargers deploy some kind of active cooling tech, Mophie has a new approach meant to keep your devices cool without the additional noise – dubbed StealthCharge.

There’s three new MagSafe charging products to go over, all of which support 25W MagSafe with their new passive cooling technology. For the 3-in-1 and 4-in-1 chargers, Mophie moved most of the heat-intensive components to the base of the stand – keeping the heat away from your phone. Traditionally, many of the components will be located alongside where the MagSafe charging puck is.

On the travel 3-in-1, theres vents that ensure heat doesn’t get trapped inside the charger. In any case, Mophie has some of the sleekest chargers on the market – and I’ll be diving into each one right here. 4-in-1 Charge Stand The 4-in-1 is interesting because it packs one of last year’s big tech trends into the base: a retractable cable.

You have your normal 3-in-1 array: a phone, watch, and AirPods charger, plus the cable for any USB-C device you need to plug in. The USB-C cable isn’t incredibly long, but it’ll work just fine on a nightstand or desk. I’d say it’s between 2 and 3 feet.

This cable can output up to 60W, making it suitable for your phone (if you prefer wired charging), an iPad, or even a MacBook Air. Mophie includes a 100W power adapter in the box to ensure the right amount of power for all of your devices. Design wise, Mophie’s 4-in-1 definitely stands out, with a nice aluminum base and stand, a nice feeling hinge for the phone puck (you can rotate it), and a thin design overall.

It definitely stands out compared to some of the plastic options on the market. This 4-in-1 comes in at $179.99, and comes in three colors: Black, Champagne (pictured here), and White.

For a cheaper option, you can consider their 3-in-1 outlined below. 3-in-1 Charge Stand The 3-in-1 offers everything great about the 4-in-1, but without the retractable cable. As a result, it has a slightly thinner base, and also comes in $30 cheaper, at $149.

99. It does ship with a 40W power adapter instead of a 100W one, but outside of that – everything great about the fit and finish remains. You get sturdy aluminum, a rotatable phone puck hinge, a thin stand, and the same passive cooling tech outlined at the beginning.

The white variant is pictured here, but you can pick this one up in Black, Champagne, and White for $149.99. Roam 3-in-1 for travel Lastly, if you were a fan of Apple’s MagSafe Duo – you might like Mophie’s travel 3-in-1.

It comes in a sleek travel pouch, and it folds up nicely for carrying around – to an even smaller footprint than MagSafe Duo. And, unlike MagSafe Duo, it supports charging three devices. If you leave the product flat, you can only charge two: iPhone and Apple Watch (or AirPods).

If you fold up the iPhone hinge though, theres an additional dedicated AirPods charger underneath. Mophie also includes international travel adapters in the box – so if you’re visiting Europe, the UK, or Australia, you’ll be covered for outlets. The adapters just slot over the US plug, so it’s rather seamless.

For $149.99, this is a fairly nice solution for covering your travel charging needs in a pinch. It’s in two colors: Sail (pictured here) and Black.

AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C) Despite a new version reportedly being around a corner, I still personally believe AirPods Pro 2 are a great deal.
