Microsoft just gave Outlook for Mac an ‘app-wide’ Liquid Glass update

Skip to main content Microsoft Outlook should now look more at home on the Mac with today’s “app-wide” Liquid Glass update. Outlook includes three Liquid Glass-focused design updates in today’s release According to Microsoft, Outlook now applies Liquid Glass visuals “app-wide with a focus on a more expressive, cohesive and Tahoe-native experience.” The new version should translate just as well on the new macOS 27 Golden Gate release, which iterates on Apple’s Liquid Glass design language.

Specifically, Microsoft details three areas of focus for today’s Liquid Glass design refresh inside Outlook. Here’s what they say: The primary “New” button has been refactored with smoother motion design & liquid glass effects. The metaOS and Profile UI control have increased elevation and liquid glass background effects.

The overall app chrome, windows and buttons have increased radii making app feel familiar to Tahoe/macOS 26 customers. Additionally, Outlook for Mac now supports Import PST, which Microsoft says makes it “easy to import emails, calendars, contacts, and other mailbox data from PST files.” Microsoft also updated Word for Mac and PowerPoint for Mac with bug fixes and performance improvements today.

The new Outlook for Mac update is available on the App Store now. Do more with your Apple products Apple AirTag 2 | Add Find My tracking to keys, bags, bikes, more AirPods 4 ($99, reg. $129) | Apple’s newest wireless headphones AirPods Pro 3 ($199, reg.
