Every day during this tournament we will have a feature thread for discussion of the day’s matchups.
Today’s summary:June 13th saw activities in the B, C and D groups of the World Cup, with Qatar and Switzerland sharing points after a tough match, and with Morocco making a somewhat unexpected surprise by taking a point the Brazil team in the stellar match of Group C. Scotland did their own by beating Haiti 1-0 in the remaining confrontation of the group. Australia achieved an unexpected result in the USMNT’s Group D by beating Türkiye 2-0, where the Crescent-Stars were expected to fight the American squad for the first place of the group.
But that is what we can expect of the World Cup, a tournament where nothing is set in stone, and any team can pull off an upset.
