He also added that if any decision about his future is made, everybody would hear about it from him and not through other sources. Ad Multiple reports during the Austrian GP weekend suggested that Verstappen's camp held preliminary talks with McLaren's Zak Brown about a potential move in the future.

This was soon denied by both the driver's manager, Raymond Vermeulen, and Zak Brown as well. Now, Verstappen was naturally asked about these supposed talks while appearing in front of the media on Wednesday ahead of the British GP. But the 27-year-old chose not to discuss the matter, even adding that he had no update about his future to share.

Ad Speaking about the upcoming race, Verstappen said [via Verstappen.com]: "I love the track at Silverstone and it has a lot of history. But I think it will feel quite different and more challenging, especially with the energy deployment on this track.

Because of the layout and the high-speed corners, it could be a tougher race, but it looks like it will be warmer than expected so we will see. Ad It is nice for the team to be closer to home and it is always a busy one with a lot of things happening in the week."Max Verstappen sits seventh in the drivers' standings after eight rounds, a massive 98 points behind championship leader Kimi Antonelli.
