Manuel Neuer becomes oldest player in German national team history during 7-1 win over Curaçao

🐐🇩🇪This is a pretty cool thing for Neuer, but also one that he likely was not expecting. Just a few months ago, Neuer was totally out of the picture for Germany, but after some discussions with a few teammates and head coach Julian Nagelsmann, Neuer made the decision to return to the squad. As of now, it looks like the 40-year-old made the right call as he is a very important part of Nagelsmann’s starting XI.

Germany will face Côte d’Ivoire on Saturday at 4PM EDT in Toronto, Ontario.
