Local blockchain companies to take part in major tech event in Berlin

OK SEOUL, June 29 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's science ministry said Monday local companies will take part in a major tech, artificial intelligence (AI) and startup event opening this week in Berlin, Germany. A booth introducing South Korean companies in the blockchain sector will be installed at the "GITEX AI Europe 2026," set to run for two days from Tuesday (local time).

The science ministry and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) have selected 23 Korean companies, which are set to showcase various blockchain technologies and services that can be used in the European market, the ministry said. The Korea Trade Promotion Agency has also prepared a networking event with AsiaBerlin, a platform connecting startup ecosystems across Asia and Berlin, the ministry added.
