The OKC Thunder and center Isaiah Hartenstein reportedly agreed to a three-year, $75 million contract extension on Friday.
The OKC Thunder agreed to a three-year, $75 million contract extension with Isaiah Hartenstein on Friday.OKC had a $28.5 million team option on Hartenstein, but it has instead signed its starting center to a long-term deal that comes with a maximum 15 percent trade kicker and a mutual option that allows both parties to rework the agreement again in 2028 prior to the final season.
ESPN’s Shams Charania first reported the deal.Hartenstein has been an instant contributor to winning since he joined OKC two seasons ago. He helped the Thunder secure its first championship in franchise history in 2025, and he played a key role in the team’s run to the 2026 Western Conference finals.
OKC has been making cost-saving moves this summer. It reduced its luxury tax penalty by $140 million by trading Aaron Wiggins to Atlanta and Isaiah Joe to Detroit for two second-round picks apiece. Now, it has spent to retain its starting center.
The Thunder still has a $17.7 million team option on Lu Dort and a $7.2 million team option on Kenrich Williams.
