Also on Wednesday, the US launched multiple rounds of airstrikes against Iran to degrade the country’s ability to attack commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.Trump held an emergency meeting in the Situation Room Tuesday to discuss a massive offensive against Iran to reopen the strait, Axios’ sources said.American forces also reinstated their blockade of Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz Tuesday.
