Skip to main content While much of the attention has shifted to iOS 27, that update won’t ship to customers until later this year. In the meantime, iOS 26 remains the iPhone software version in use by iPhone users everywhere. As such, Apple appears to be prepping iOS 26.

MacRumors has also spotted evidence of iOS 26.5.2 in their analytics.

Apple released iOS 26.5 to iPhone users last month with end-to-end encryption for RCS messages, a new Pride Luminanace wallpaper, and a new Suggested Places feature in Apple Maps. iOS 26.

5.1 was released earlier this month to fix a charging issue affecting iPhone Air and iPhone 17 models. iOS 26.

5.2 will likely include further bug fixes and tweaks. Meanwhile, Apple is also still testing iOS 26.

6 and released the second beta to developers today. iOS 27 is also in early beta testing, and we expect its second beta to arrive as soon as this week or next week. A public beta of iOS 27 is coming in July.
