Jun. 25—ROCHESTER — Cameron Sewell was one of four to homer, blasting his Northwoods League-best 10th home run, as the Rochester Honkers beat the Rockford Rivets 15-9 in front of 591 fans on Thursday afternoon at Mayo Field.The Honkers are now just one win away from matching last year's win total, improving to 17-13 overall with the victory.

Sewell, a junior at Sacramento State University, went back-to-back with Nolan Ganter in the eighth to become the first in the NWL to reach the double-digit home run total. He's hitting .324 with 10 home runs and 19 RBIs across 22 games.

His college and Honkers teammate, Sam Harry, is right behind him, blasting his eighth homer of the year, a two-run shot, as part of a six-run Honkers' fifth that broke the game open by giving Rochester a 9-3 lead. Harry finished 1-for-5 and leads the NWL with a .426 batting average.

The aforementioned Ganter was one of four Honkers to finish with at least two hits and an RBI. Jackson Norum hit a three-run homer as part of a four-run seventh.Franco Moran earned the win on the mound, allowing five runs on six hits with four strikeouts.

Zan Von Schlegell smacked a three-run homer for Rockford (12-20) in the sixth off Moran to make it 9-5.The Honkers return to action at 6:35 p.m.
