a. VivziePop, which ran for two seasons on YouTube before being picked up by Prime Video (to premiere new episodes exclusively on the platform before they are released on YouTube later). Prime Video was already the distributor of Medrano and A24's Hazbin Hotel, of which Helluva Boss is a spinoff.

Ahead of Helluva Boss season 3's premiere this fall, Medrano has teased, in a new interview with Collider, that the series will be raunchier than ever. Both Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel are known for their vulgar style of humor, but Medrano says that a music video-style sequence in the new season took things to another level, shocking the series lead. Check out her full comments below: We have a sequence in season 3, so I can't reveal what it is, but people will see in October, that I think is cool.

It's so funny because I was like, "I know this is raunchy," but I just thought, "This is a sleek music video. It's so cool." Then seeing people react to it…

Brandon Rogers, who is our main character, is known for doing outlandish, crude, he's-naked-in-the-street comedy, and seeing him be like, "That was a lot," I was like, "Really? It was a lot to you?" Then, the fact that Prime is letting us put that out on their platform.

Comedian and YouTube personality Brandon Rogers voices Blitzø, Helluva Boss' main character, the founder of startup I.M.P.

(Immediate Murder Professionals). Fighting the obstacles blocking Imps (the working class of Hell) from having such a career, Blitzø leads an intrepid and violent team, who hire themselves out to the denizens of Hell to assassinate people in the living world. Blitzo looking excited in the boardroom in Helluva Boss Helluva Boss is also sometimes a musical, like its companion piece Hazbin Hotel.

While Hazbin Hotel committed to its musical theater-style soundtrack from the beginning. Helluva Boss, over time, began to regularly have one full song per episode. Clearly, the music video sequences have become another storytelling tool for Medrano and the team to leverage in their darker show.

A significant hit for Prime Video, Hazbin Hotel season 3 is also in the works, with it having been confirmed that the flagship series will run for a total of five seasons. Following the princess of Hell, who is on a mission to redeem Sinners so they may ascend to Heaven, Hazbin Hotel's pilot debuted on YouTube in 2019, subsequently being acquired by A24 and dropping its first full season on Prime Video in 2024. While Hazbin Hotel season 1 faced various delays, Medrano and SpindleHorse Toons began releasing Helluva Boss on YouTube in the meantime.

The TV universe has amassed a passionate cult following, with the cast and crew attending major conventions such as San Diego Comic-Con, and its future is bright with additional seasons already greenlit. When it was announced that Helluva Boss would be moving to Prime Video, it was also teased that fans would finally be seeing the long-awaited crossover. The fanbase for Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel still expects many different storylines to be resolved, and to be surprised with new plot developments, but (apparently unintentionally) the next episode may deliver the most sordid content yet.
