m. when heavy rain fell on the metropolis. The bad weather caused problems for motorists, particularly motorcycle riders.
In Cubao, Quezon City, the torrent was accompanied by strong gusts of wind, causing vehicular traffic on the northbound lane of EDSA to slow down.At the Kamuning Flyover, the volume of rainwater spawned a gutter-deep flood, forcing motorists to drive slower. Some motorcycle riders sought shelter underneath the Kamuning MRT Station and waited for the rain to weaken.
Along EDSA Phil-Am, traffic was also forced to a crawl by a flood.Traffic along the southbound lane of EDSA-North Avenue also slowed after several riders who stopped underneath the MRT station occupied one lane of the highway.Despite the floods, EDSA remained passable to motorists.
Gutter-deep floods were also observed at the corner of Scout Ybardolaza and Kamuning Road as well as the stretch of Espana and Lacson Avenues in Manila’s Sampaloc district. —RF, GMA News Tags: EDSA, Flood, Quezon City, Manila More Videos Most Popular LOADING CONTENT LOAD MORE ARTICLES RETRY LOADING
