Govt. considering cashless treatment under Ayushman Bharat for APL families, says Health Minister

Health and Family Welfare Minister U.T. Khader said on Monday that the State government was considering providing completely cashless treatment to above poverty line (APL) families under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

Addressing a gathering in Sullia, where he was accorded a public felicitation on becoming Minister, Mr. Khader said that, at present, only below poverty line (BPL) families are getting cashless treatment under the scheme. The government had thought of extending it to all sections of society, and a clear decision would be taken soon, the minister said.

The State government will provide all kinds of support for the development of Sullia in a non-partisan manner. Emphasis will be placed on the development of infrastructure such as roads and electricity. A detailed plan will be formulated after discussions with local representatives, Mr.
