FSU freshman catcher enters transfer portal

The FSU Seminoles have lost another reserve to the transfer portal. Catcher Mookie Rodriguez has entered the portal after one season in Tallahassee, according to the D1Baseball tracker.Rodriguez was a member of FSU's 2025 recruiting class and did not see any action in his one season in Tallahassee.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder is from Dover, Florida, and will have four seasons of eligibility at his next stop after redshirting in 2026.He is the ninth player that FSU has lost to the transfer portal this season and the first catcher. Their freshman class has now seen four departures, including Kelvyn Paulino Jr.
