Former Alabama softball pitcher sets another AUSL record

Former Alabama softball star Montana Fouts is back in the AUSL record books.A few weeks after Fouts set the AUSL single-game strikeout record, the former Alabama ace made headlines again this past Saturday night. Fouts pitched two innings of relief for the Utah Talons in a 5-4 win over the Carolina Blaze, striking out one batter with no hits, walks, or runs allowed.

The former Alabama pitcher also picked up the win for Utah in the circle, and in the process, broke the AUSL single-season wins record with her seventh of the 2026 season.Up to this point in the 2026 season, Fouts has made eight appearances for Utah in the circle, six of which have been starts. Fouts currently sports a 7-1 record with a 1.

83 ERA and 42:8 K:BB ratio, all while holding opponents to a .177 batting average against. The Talons currently sit atop the AUSL standings with an overall record of 13-5.
