The airport — formerly known as Palm Beach International Airport — said in an FAQ posted online that "updates to signage, branding and public‑facing materials, will occur in phases."As part of the transition, the airport's FAA locational identifier will change from PBI to DJT. The International Air Transport Association code change is set to occur on Aug.

Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law earlier this year to change the name of the airport. The move was later approved by the FAA. The name change is estimated to cost $5.

The president's son Eric Trump said Trump Force One — the nickname for the private jet owned by the Trump Organization — would be the first plane to land at the newly renamed airport.
