Florida lands former Sooners OF Drew Dickerson via transfer portal

Florida baseball added another player from the transfer portal this week, this time it's former Oklahoma Sooners outfielder Drew Dickerson.

Florida baseball landed a commitment from former Oklahoma Sooners outfielder Drew Dickerson on Wednesday, as announced on his personal social media account. The 6-foot-4-inch, 210-pound native of Lee's Summit, Missouri, slashed .294/.

405/.535 with nine home runs and eight doubles in 170 at-bats during his two years with the Sooners. Last season, Dickerson played 35 games — starting 22 games primarily as a designated hitter — batting .

281 with 25 hits, four doubles, two triples and four home runs while scoring 20 runs and knocking in 21 RBI; he posted a .506 slugging percentage with an on-base percentage of .387.

His sophomore stats represented a minor step back from his freshman year, when he played in 33 games and started 21 games primarily at DH, with five starts also in right field. That season, he slashed .309/.
