“I am so bad at keeping secrets that I always say to everyone I’m the worst actor in the world,” she told Nerdtropolis. “It’s all on my face. You right away will read it.”

It’s interesting,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “I didn’t realize that was such a big part. Every interview I do, that will come up, and of everything I say, that is going to be the only thing that’s gonna be printed.”

Janssen continued, “I should be flattered, I suppose, that this character has resonated with people. It’s been so long, but it’s nice that people are still talking about her. I’m sure every single time there’s a new movie that they’re doing…

it’ll come up again.” Following her last appearance as Jean Grey in X: Men: Days of Future Past (2014), Janssen’s franchise co-stars Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), James Marsden (Cyclops), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler) and Kelsey Grammer (Beast) have signed on to reprise their roles in Avengers: Doomsday, premiering Dec. 18, 2026.

Director Jake Schreier, who is helming Marvel Studios’ X-Men reboot previously gave an update. “I can’t say anything about it, but we’ve started work on X-Men, and that’s obviously very, very exciting,” he told Empire in August.
