The Blue Jays acquired former Red Sox pitcher Connor Seabold in a trade with the Detroit Tigers just 19 days ago on May 27, but the right-hander was sent packing again on Monday, this time in a deal with the Kansas City Royals."We have acquired RHP Connor Seabold from the Toronto Blue Jays for RHP Denis Samudio and cash considerations," the Royals official account posted on Bluesky. "RHP Carlos Estévez has been transferred to the 60-Day Injured List."

Toronto designated Seabold for assignment on June 10 ahead of Monday's deal.The Philadelphia Phillies selected the 30-year-old in the third round of the 2017 MLB June Amateur Draft and traded him to Boston with starting pitcher Nick Pivetta on Aug. 21, 2020.

The Phillies acquired a pair of right-handed relievers from the Red Sox's 2018 World Series-championship bullpen in Brandon Workman and Heath Hembree in the move.Seabold made just one start with Boston in 2021 (his MLB debut on Sept. 11) before going 0-4 with an 11.
