CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — A former member of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) has surrendered to authorities in Oriental Mindoro, marking what police described as another step in the government’s campaign to encourage former rebels to return to civilian life. The Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office (OMPPO) said the surrender took place on June 27 at the headquarters of the 4th Platoon, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) in Barangay Lumangbayan, San Teodoro.
