Effectiveness of the government’s response will depend on how quickly and efficiently the departments concerned coordinate during emergencies, says Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said development and good governance should reach the last mile effectively and called for better response to public grievances. Prompt responses were the key to providing better public services, he said, and suggested multi-department coordination to achieve the desired outcomes.
Referring to the recent fishing boat mishap off the Visakhapatnam coast in which fishermen went missing, at a review meeting on Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) on Monday, Mr. Naidu said the effectiveness of the government’s response would depend on how quickly and efficiently the departments concerned coordinate during emergencies. He ordered that pending applications under the Public Grievance Redressal System should be disposed of on a priority basis and called for a comprehensive action plan to resolve the issues being brought to the government’s notice more efficiently. Mr. Naidu further instructed the officials to establish Anna Canteens in tribal areas and stressed the need to significantly reduce crime against women and completely curb ganja networks across the State.
He told the officials to continuously assess the outcomes of government schemes and programmes in order to achieve better results. Legacy wasteStandard operating procedures should be issued for drinking water supply, operation of Swachha vehicles for waste collection, and door-to-door garbage collection, he said, and ordered that the 23 lakh metric tonnes of legacy waste in municipalities and municipal corporations should be cleared within three months.The Chief Minister instructed all the departments to analyse the outcomes achieved through AWARE 2.
