Independent TVShowing now | News00:31Bookmark popoverRemoved from bookmarksClose popoverDeputy almost hit by ‘drunk’ driver while at hit-and-run sceneA Placer County Sheriff’s deputy narrowly escaped being hit by an alleged drunk driver during a hit-and-run crash investigation on Friday night (17 July).The officer was documenting the scene in Loomis at Taylor Road and Horseshoe Bar Road at 10:20pm, with a vehicle involved in the crash pulled over and the three people who were inside standing on the sidewalk.He was on the shoulder documenting the scene when a pickup truck driven by a driver later determined to be under the influence of alcohol came within inches of hitting him as he sideswiped the parked truck, officials said.
