De La Rose & Ryan Castro’s ‘La Monda’ & More: Vote for the Best New Latin Music Release This Week
Which new Latin music release is your favorite? Vote below!
This week, Billboard’s New Music Latin poll — curated with key recommendations by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors — features a number of new singles, including Feid’s “A Xon De Que,” De La Rose and Ryan Castro’s “La Monda,” Pablo Alborán’s “Tiempos Bonitos,” as well as Luis R. Conriquez’s latest studio album, Muchacho Alegre. In a first collaborative effort, Puerto Rican breakout star De La Rose and Colombian sensation Ryan Castro deliver “La Monda,” a dancehall tune that oozes sensuality.
The provocative, NSFW song finds both artists singing back-and-forth about desire, temptation and an intense connection. “You have me tied to you without any witchcraft,” Rose sings. De La Rose and Ryan Castro’s magnetic energy is seen in the just as sultry, yet colorful, music video, directed by Broken Minds and Great Society.
Meanwhile, artists such as Ha*Ash, Banda MS, Banda Los Sebastianes, and newcomers Melanie Santiler, La Cassandra, Matt Louis, and Cain Culto — all featured on Billboard’s On The Radar Latin in the past —have also dropped new music this week. The most recent New Music Latin poll (published on June 26) was topped by Mariangela “En El Norte” with more than 75% of the vote. Which release this week do you think is best?
Give these new releases a spin, and vote for your favorite new Latin music release below. Editor’s Note: The results of the weekly New Music Latin poll will be posted if the poll generates more than 1,000 votes. This poll closes at 11 a.
