Aim with your harpoon (RMB on PC), shoot (LMB on PC), and then complete the catch by filling in the gauge with the button prompt (spacebar on PC). Once your dive is over, get out of the lake by going to the surface and choosing to return to the village. You can find Bancho in the centre of the village, straight up from where the diving deck is.
