The Communist Party of India (Marxist) staged a protest in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday condemning the alleged police action at its central headquarters, AKG Bhavan, in New Delhi. The demonstration was taken out from Sitaram Yechury Bhavan at Maddilapalem to the main road.Addressing the protesters, CPI(M) State secretariat member V.

Rambhupal and former GVMC floor leader B. Gangarao alleged that the police had unlawfully entered the party office and accused the BJP-led Union government of undermining democratic rights.They also criticised the reported attempt to arrest SFI All India vice-president Aishe Ghosh and alleged that old cases were being revived to target student leaders.
