Congress in-charge interacts with party functionaries in Puducherry

Congress legislator from Jammu and Kashmir Ghulam Ahmad Mir, who was recently appointed as party’s in-charge for the Union Territory, was in Puducherry on Saturday to interact with functionaries of the Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee.This was his first visit to Puducherry after being appointed as the All India Congress Committee’s in-charge for the Union Territory. He met key functionaries of the PPCC, including former Chief Minister V.

Seeks removal of PPCC chiefAt the meeting, a section of PPCC office-bearers, including secretaries, general secretaries, district and block presidents submitted a memorandum to him seeking the removal of Mr.

Vaithilingam as chief of party’s Puducherry unit. They also demanded convening of the executive committee in the memorandum signed by around 30 members.Mr.

Mir also participated in a protest held by the Congress party on the NEET paper leak issue. A large number of Congress workers participated in the protest which was held before Dharmendhra Pradhan announced his resignation from the Union Cabinet as Education Minister.
