Columbus Crew are hosting England's Burnley FC. Here's how to get tickets

Before the MLS regular season restarts on July 16, the Crew will have their first taste of action since the World Cup break during a friendly against England's Burnley FC.On July 12, the Crew will host Burnley in their second friendly against an English team in two years. The Crew defeated the Premier League's Aston Villa 4-1 in a July 2024 friendly, in which midfielder Dylan Chambost scored in his unofficial debut for Columbus."

We all had a great experience," Crew defender Malte Amundsen said. "It’s fun for us to compare to different teams that are not always MLS teams. So we’re very excited.

And obviously, it’s [their] preseason. And I’m sure we’re going to test a few different things, but I’m looking forward to it so much, and it’s always so nice to compare yourself against some of the best, better teams in the world."Burnley is coming off a rough 2025-26 season, as the club finished 19th in the Premier League and was relegated to the EFL Championship.

The Crew are still adjusting to playing for interim coach Laurent Courtois after Henrik Rydstrom was fired on May 17. Ahead of the World Cup break, the Crew won their first two games under Courtois but remain in 10th place in the Eastern Conference standings with a 4-4-7 record.Crew midfielder Max Arfsten and defender Steven Moreira, who competed at the World Cup for the United States and Cape Verde, respectively, are expected to miss the friendly.
