Michael Lorenzen (3-9, 6.
83 ERA) will make the start for the Rockies as he looks to continue the success he found in June. Lorenzen was roughed up in his first outing last month, but seemed to figure some things out and then delivered four solid starts. He has worked at least five innings in each of his last four outings while allowing more than two runs just one time.
He has continued to keep walks in check and can get his strikeout stuff working more consistently to keep hitters off balance. In his last start, he allowed two runs on seven hits over 5.2 innings with just one strikeout.
Lorenzen has been quite successful against the Marlins in his career, posting a 2.62 ERA over 18 appearances, including seven starts. His first start of 2026 came against the Marlins, where he allowed three runs on seven hits over 4.

Gusto made 27 appearances last season, primarily with the Houston Astros, before getting sent to Miami at the trade deadline.
