While Harshit was part of the ODI squad for the England series, Varun was part of the squad for the Zimbabwe T20Is. Both Harshit and Varun were ruled out of the final two games of the recently concluded T20I series in England after sustaining injuries during the third T20I. Harshit reportedly experienced discomfort in his right hamstring, which has now been revealed to be a Grade 1 hamstring injury.
