Basic Instinct's OG Villain Officially Returns In Upcoming Reboot
A new update has arrived for the Basic Instinct reboot, with writer Joe Eszterhas confirming that the 1992 film’s original film will be back.

The film, which starred Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas, was a major hit, and it was reported last summer that Eszterhas is penning a script for a reboot for Amazon MGM Studios.
Speaking with Interview, Eszterhas now reveals that Stone's character from the original film, Catherine Tramell, will be featured in the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios reboot. In a fun twist, Catherine's daughter, Jezebel, will also be introduced in the movie. Check out Eszterhas' comment below: "Catherine Tramell [Sharon Stone’s character] is in this one, and so is a new character, her daughter, Jezebel.
I can’t say too much about it." In the same interview, Eszterhas also reveals that he just recently finished a draft of the script for the new Basic Instinct movie, suggesting an official green light for the reboot may not be too far off. Though story details remain under wraps, the screenwriter also teases that his condition for writing the movie was that he be allowed to make it "fun and enjoyable."
