Most races this year require an Apple TV subscription to view, but when the deal was announced, Apple said that select races will be in front of the paywall altogether. The Austrian Grand Prix (June 26 – June 28) is the first time they are delivering on that promise.
Usually, just the practice sessions are free to stream. But for the Austrian Grand Prix, happening next weekend, everyone can enjoy the Saturday qualifying and the Sunday race for free. All you need is access to the Apple TV app, and reside inside the United States.
You can get the Apple TV app on a wide variety of devices, including Android and Windows. You can also get the app on many smart TVs, Roku sticks, Amazon Fire TV devices, Xbox, Playstation and more. You can also simply watch in a web browser at tv.
apple.com. The free weekend helps grow exposure of the sport, and improve mindshare of Apple as a destination for sports streaming.
