Apple One’s high-end tier is getting harder to resist in iOS 27

Apple One Premier introduces two upgrades in iOS 27, both related to Apple Intelligence If you’re an Apple One user who needs another reason to upgrade to Apple One Premier, iOS 27 might just provide that reason. The new iPhone software introduces two upgrades for the high-end Apple One tier.

Apple Home AI features Higher usage limits for image generation and more Apple’s Home app is getting a variety of AI features in iOS 27, some of which are exclusive to iCloud+ subscribers with a 2TB plan. That means Apple One Premier or the highest standalone iCloud+ plan is required. It’s not yet clear whether all or just some AI features are tied to a subscription.

iOS 27’s beta notes simply say: “Apple Intelligence for Home requires an iCloud+ subscription starting at 2TB.” However, it’s likely the HomeKit Secure Video upgrades at a minimum will require a high-end plan. Those include generated video descriptions, search in clips, and surfacing of noteworthy clips.

And Apple One Premier subscribers get higher limits per Apple: Some Apple Intelligence features, including image generation, have daily usage limits because they rely on powerful server models. Increased access is available with most iCloud+ subscription plans Apple One’s Individual tier includes an iCloud+ plan that doesn’t qualify.

So if you want higher AI usage limits, that’s another reason to choose Apple One Premier. Apple One starts at $19.95/month and includes services like Apple TV, Apple Music, iCloud+, and more.
