49ers fan heckles Jayden Daniels over Brandon Aiyuk

We haven't heard from Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels since his good friend, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, began posting videos on social media, criticizing his current team. Aiyuk will be released by the 49ers at some point. San Francisco GM John Lynch stated in January that he had played his last down for the 49ers.

Aiyuk has made it no secret that he wants to land in Washington with Daniels once he's free and clear from the Niners. Daniels was asked about Aiyuk back in May during Commanders' OTAs. He didn't offer much.

"I don’t know, I don’t have a sense on it," Daniels said. "That is my brother, and we have a personal relationship. His football future, that’s out of my control."

It's important to stress that Aiyuk hadn't begun posting these videos on YouTube and Instagram at this time. Daniels, who is from Southern California, was in Los Angeles this week to watch the World Cup game between Spain and Austria. A fan spotted him in the press box, and Daniels acknowledged the fan.

That fan happened to be a San Francisco 49ers supporter, and he had an expletive-filled message for Washington's star quarterback. "Jayden Daniels," the fan said. F--- Brandon Aiyuk.

F--- Brandon Aiyuk. F--- Brandon Aiyuk. You better now throw s--- to him next year.

I'm a Niner fan."Daniels handled it well, laughing it off without responding. The Commanders open training camp later this month, and they could still use some help at wide receiver.

Aiyuk's chances of eventually landing in Washington appear to be decreasing with social media video. Of course, Aiyuk, who San Francisco placed on the reserve/left squad list, must apply to the NFL for reinstatement. That's a move he hasn't yet made.
