23일(현지 시각) 오전 10시, 미국 워싱턴 DC에서 한미 조선 협력 ‘마스가(MASGA) 프로젝트’를 이끌 ‘한미 조선협력센터(KUSPC)’가 문을 열었다. 한국이 관세 협상 과정에서 미국에 약속한 조선업 분야 1500억달러 투자의 실무를 총괄하고, 미국 정부·의회·현지 기업과의 소통 창구 역할을 맡는 거점이다. 작년 7월 관세 협상의 지렛대로 등장한 마스가 프로젝트가 1년간의 물밑 조율을 거쳐 본격 실행 단계에 들어섰다는 평가가 나온다.
